DapIt - Discover Amazing Places In Town

DapIt started off as an idea while vacationing with my family for my birthday. As tourists, we didn’t know the area and so were walking around looking for a local place to eat. In strolling down the main strip, we happened upon a little local restaurant that looked like it could be worth a try. We walked in and were seated, so naturally began checking-in and posting on social media. In our excitement, our friends and family started asking if they could buy us a drink or appetizer from the restaurant. Thinking it would be possible, I told them to give the restaurant a call or check the website. Unfortunately, when our friends called, they were informed that payment couldn’t be taken over the phone. Just then, I had an “a-ha” moment… Why can’t businesses offer gift cards so that friends and family can buy and send gift cards at any moment… and from any location? 

And so DapIt was born.

DapIt uses multi-factor authentication when signing up. This adds an additional layer of security.

What types of authentication does DapIt Use?

We use email and mobile phone to confirm you are the user. We send a verification code to both your mobile phone and email when registering your account. 

Never share this code with anyone else. DapIt will never ask you to provide your six-digit code on a phone call, text message, email, or chat. If someone requests your six-digit code, it’s probably a scam.

Alternately you can use Facebook or Gmail to register. 

Facebook

If you select “Connect Facebook” DapIt will access your Facebook to log in. We do not access your friend's contacts. 

note: if you change your password to your Facebook account you must also re-enter your password when logging into DapIt.

Gmail

If you select “Connect Gmail” DapIt will access your Gmail to log in. We do not access your friend's contacts.

We get this question asked thousands of times. DapIt is different because we built it around small local businesses. From our origin story. We set out to make the app to connect us to our favorite local businesses in our community. 

DapIt helps small businesses offer gift cards to their customers. Any business can sign up, and in five minutes, customers can purchase gift cards right from DapIt. 

DapIt allows for any business to sign up. Current categories on DapIt are Food and Drinks, Shopping, Things To Do, Beauty and Spas, and Services. But before being listed on DapIt, there is an onboarding process every sign up must go through.

Before signing up, there are some essential items required. 

1. Personal Info (Name, Email, Phone)
2. Business Name
3. Address
4. Phone
5. Email
6. Website Url
7. Business description
8. Hours of Operation
9. EIN / Tax ID
10. Bank Info ( Account and Routing ) this is required for us to make deposits to your account.

We used Stripe verification; once approved, you can start growing.

There are various options for business owners to manage their DapIt account. Businesses can log in to their DapIt account on their phones and view complete transaction history. We also send out full weekly reporting every Friday.

As soon as a customer purchases a gift card, funds get deposited into the business owner's account. 

The great thing about DapIt, there is no need to buy any special equipment. A customer sends a spend request through DapIt. The business owner receives an alert for approval of the spend request; once the transaction is approved, that's it! -- Here is a link to our short video on how to redeem. --

Depending on how you manage your business from day to day, you can use DapIt to record your transactions. Also, in some cases, you have the option to add a Tender button on your POS. --Check Out This Link--

1. Contact DapIt via email at support@dapitapp.com or through our website.
2. Please have information available about the transaction.
3. We then have to verify from both parties about the refund in question.
4. Once confirmed, our refunds take 5-10 business days to get processed.
5. Any gift card amount refunded will be removed from the user account.

Small businesses are what make us different. We also created a way for users to share and manage the gift cards they have purchased or received.
